She can GO!

There's some big stuff to update on, but it's tricky. Sorting it all out in my head, finding out more, waiting for a crucial appointment - then I'll explain. But for every down there's an up, and today I'll focus on that.

Take a look at this picture, taken on Friday: for the first time ever, Amy was able to move around independently. She spent a happy afternoon trying out Bugzi, a wheelchair that she can operate herself with a switch. Okay she can't steer - but she can GO. The picture's a bit blurry, because she was moving. The smile on her face as she realised what she could do was priceless. Especially when her sister stood in front of her.

  1. I love this! It's amazing what you can do with a switch! GO AMY!! Are you actually getting one of these? Would you have it at home or at school? Love Liz x

    1. Liz, she's able to borrow this one to use at school for a bit. We don't have space at home - our rooms aren't big enough!

    2. Hi Catriona, I was wondering about that!

When I looked at the chair and then our house, I thought there is no way we could use something like that! It's the same for some of the walkers we have been shown, they are huge!Even if Jessica could use them (which she hasn't been able to up to now) she would only manage a couple of steps before she would get stuck in our living room! But that is great that Amy can borrow it to use at school, it looks like she will love the independence!
